If you've seen "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" you know that its about a group of friends all miraculously fit into the same pair of jeans, even though they have completely different body types and are clearly, different sizes. Well, I had a Traveling Pants-ish experience this weekend.
I work at American Eagle, and besides getting people to sign their life away to the AE Credit Card, I'd say I'm pretty good at my job. I'm 1 out of 9 employees to be selected as a back to school Denim Expert, something that I'm very excited about. I can sell jeans with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back. I know what type of jeans are best for the customer's body type and shape. If a customer comes in looking for jeans, I am able to almost guarantee that they will be walking out the door with a pair of jeans, if not multiple pairs.
Each season, AE updates their different styles, usually changing the names and make slight changes to their fits. Since I can remember, I have only been able to fit into one, maybe two styles of AE jeans, just because my thighs and waist have a battle over what size jeans they want me to wear, and my thighs usually win. Luckily, AE makes a style of jeans that give a little bit more room in the thighs, so I don't have to compromise my waist size.
This season, AE has done something new, where they have a fit model for each size, not just one for a size 6 and build off of that. At my Denim Expert meeting, we had the opportunity to try on both men's and women's jeans. I miraculously fit into Super Skinny Jeans, Skinny Jeans, a Slim Bootcut jean, AND a men's bootcut jean, and ALL of them looked fabulous.
If you are in needs of jeans this season, I think AE maybe your most stress free jean experience out there!
Hmmm... I am intrigued by this. If I ever have money again, I may be coming your way lol
